I’m particularly interested in portraits and the human body — in how posture, gesture, and facial expression convey character and emotion. Observing and sketching people has become an essential part of my practice. It continues to challenge me and helps me refine my understanding of proportion, movement, and expression.
Besides the human figure, many of my drawing take inspiration from quick sketches I do on location — moments from daily life that catch my attention. These sketchbook studies often serve as the starting point for drawings created later in the studio. I enjoy the challenge of translating the spontaneity of on-site sketches into more refined drawings and paintings.
