Urban sketching is a creative way to capture everyday life — artists around the world draw on location to document their surroundings, sharing their work under the motto “Show the world, one drawing at a time.”
Sketching has changed the way I look at the world. I’m drawn to vibrant, imperfect urban scenes that reveal beauty in everyday life — even a fish market in Sicily can turn into a stage full of inspiration when seen through the eyes of a sketcher.
Before I started sketching, I returned from trips with countless photos, most of them I never looked at again. Today, I come home with sketchbooks full of vivid memories — of places, people, and moments that I truly experienced by drawing them.
