In my paintings, I explore how the influences of urban sketching and drawing can evolve further — taking ideas from small sketches to larger formats. It’s an ongoing process of experimentation and discovery.
I’m interested in finding out how much reality a painting really needs. Moving away from the descriptive line toward a stronger focus on shapes, color, and expression challenges me — and that’s exactly what makes it exciting.
I try not to take the process too seriously. Instead, I aim to stay open, spontaneous, and curious. Working with color allows me to express energy and emotion more freely, translating the immediacy of my sketches into a more painterly language.
